Russell Crowe, Orange County Choppers,Greg Norman at Australia Day Challenge rugby game, Jacksonville Florida

During the Australia Day Challenge,The British Leeds Rhinos met Australia’s South Sydney Rabbitohs at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. Co-owner of the Rabbitohs, actor Russell Crowe, was of course present, but he was far from the only celebrity at the rugby game. The Teutuls from Orange County Choppers (OCC) and the TV series American Chopper showed up and presented a very special motorcycle to Crowe. hoopsydaisy nude camifer123 Famous golfer Greg Norman and surfer Lane Beachley were also present. Despite the rainy weather, the stadium was packed. The fans got to experience an exciting game of world class rugby. The Rabbitohs had great support in the stands, but in the end the 2007 Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos won 26-24.

New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition to Showcase Local Talent – Savannah, GA

The works of local middle and high school students will be showcased at the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs’ Gallery S.P.A.C.E. from Feb. 4 through 22 during the seventh annual New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition.
Works on display will focus on the 2008 Savannah Black Heritage Festival  theme, “Yesterday’s Story, Today’s Legacy.”  The juried exhibition is presented by the Savannah chapter of The Links, Inc., a volunteer organization committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture of African Americans.

The crown gem of cult musicals, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of mad scientist transvestite Frank ‘N’ Furter and his associates, who are conducting dangerous experimentation into the creation of human beings. Two young innocent lovers, Brad and Janet, stumble into this world – one where the unexpected is normal and nothing is forbidden.

Mavis Staples – Savannah, Georgia

Mavis Staples is a historically important artist who still enjoys an active touring and recording career. She had a significant role in the American Civil Rights movement and her concert will focus on her current CD We’ll Never Turn Back, which features contemporary versions of songs of that era.
