Community Chorus Masterworks Concert – St Augustine, Florida

Family Fitness Weekend – Crescent Beach, Florida

Publix Family Fitness Weekend takes place Saturday, May. 3 – Sunday, May. 4, 2008
at Crescent Beach, FL

Get the whole family into shape when Publix presents the St. Augustine edition of it’s Family Fitness program. Enjoy a fun filled weekend competing in a series of family sporting events including a Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Duathlon, Open Water Swim, Kids Sprint, 5K walk/run and an In-Line Skate Race. This weekend-long fitness event is a Florida qualifier for the “Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition’s”. All events take place from Beacher’s Lodge at Crescent Beach.

Historic Weapons Firing – St Augustine, Florida

Take the National Park Service’s ferry to Rattlesnake Island and experience daily military life at Fort Matanzas – the 18th century Spanish fort that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., authentically clad re-enactors will demonstrate Spanish muskets and cannons at the fort.

13th Annual Gamble Rogers Festival – St Augustine, Florida

Join the happy crowds at this annual three-day celebration of the music, stories and dance that made Gamble Rogers famous. There will be six stages of continuous music with performances with a special Saturday night performance. Friday night admission is $25 and includes a free fish dinner. An all-day and night Saturday pass is $40. A day-only Saturday pass (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is $25 and a Saturday evening pass is $25. Admission for Sunday (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is $25. A full weekend pass is $60 in advance and $75 at the door. Children under 12 are free with a paid adult (excluding Saturday night’s performance, when admission for children is $10).
