The Sailfish Slam will feature three days of fishing that will certainly challenge the South Carolina billfish release record. Hosted by the Charleston City Marina on the MegaDock, the Sailfish Slam is a catch and release billfish competition that will feature the area’s top sportfishing vessels angling for big money prizes. The billfish bite will be on, and the Sailfish Slam will heed the call of captains and owners for late summer competition.
This annual event on September 2 is a fundraiser for Old Fort Jackson, a National Historic Landmark and Georgia’s oldest brick fortification. Old Fort Jackson Auction & Low Country Boil features fantastic food, an auction of items donated by local merchants, live music, cannon firing and fun for the whole family. Admission is charged
