Celebrates Independence Day in Fernandina Beach

Bring your family and celebrate Independence Day at Central Park in Fernandina Beach on Friday, July 4, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the Stars & Stripes Freedom Festival. A Touch-A-Truck Public Safety display will include cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, dump trucks, garbage trucks, excavators, front-end loaders, school buses, limousines, tow trucks, an antique hearse and other vehicles and machinery. Visitors can meet some of the personnel who protect, serve and work in our community and learn about functions and features of these vehicles. Other activities include a Parent-Child Look-A-Like Contest, an All American Apple Pie Contest, Fun for the Kids playground, arts and crafts show, food, vendors, Campaign Booths, and more. Parents and kids, make a thank you card to send to a member of the active military at the Craft Center.

Sounds on Centre – Fernandina, Florida

This is free community concert is held the First Friday of each month from March through October in the historic downtown on Centre Street between 2nd & Front from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. This month’s band is Face for Radio so bring a chair, your dancing shoes (just in case) and a smile and song in your heart.The concert series is presented by Historic Fernandina Business Association.
