ACCOUNT MANAGER
Are You A Motivated Sales Person Who Knows The Online Advertising Industry?
We are looking for an account manager for sponsorship sales to our TV show I Know Jax and advertising sales on our group of websites. We are excited to announce a new position is available for a confident, self-motivated, good communicator. The person we are looking for should have worked in online media advertising, print media advertising or radio/tv advertising sales – or be very familiar with this market.

You will be in charge of…
- Proactively seeking sponsors for our TV show & for our network of websites (your most important job)
- Identifying and inviting new advertisers to our promotional campaigns combining online advertising with video exposure
- Negotiating with sponsors to secure sponsorships to the TV show
- Selling advertising to our network of websites
- Managing campaigns and liaising with sponsors to meet their needs
As the role of account manager requires you to work extensively with potential and existing clients we need you to be a fun, clever and likable person, with occasional bursts of creative imagination, yet organized and driven.
You should be full of these kinds of skills:
- Solid communication skills, both spoken and written
- Clear and confident telephone manner to communicate with potential sponsors
- The ability to speak in confidence with genuine knowledge about promotional advertising campaigns when convincing sponsors to buy advertising.
- Solid Research skills so you can quickly learn about new prospects and their business
- The ability to put yourself in your client’s shoes so you understand what motivates them and what they need.
- You must be a true self-starter with a very strong work ethic and will to succeed, as you will work unmonitored and will be given free reign to experiment and develop your own best practices.
- The ability to create systems and optimize operating procedures once you have come up with effective techniques, so you can repeat them and others can follow your steps.
- Experience with or the ability to quickly learn the basics of wordpress blogging platform, youtube and google analytics, facebook marketing etc.
We would especially love to hear from you if you have connections to a specific market segment such as health, wellness, restaurant or entertainment etc. You will also be able to hit the ground running if you have previously sold print advertising in our market and already have a good network.
This can be a full time position – or part-time – and you will have a flexible schedule. For the right person this position can grow into a permanent part of the very attractive I Know Jax start-up team.
We require all team members to be used to working on the computer, using email, google documents etc.
I Know Jax
is part of a group of websites consisting of coastalcompanion.com, camdenhappenings.com and iknowjax.com. All our website produce newsletters and are active in social media. I Know Jax is also a weekly show broadcast on CW 17 on Saturdays at 11 pm.
