Charleston Caribbean Festival

Each year a different Caribbean country is showcased at the cultural festival. The 2008 Festival focused on St Kitts and Nevis, 2009 was simply beautiful St Lucia and 2010 Barbados is becoming the main attraction.

The colorful festival includes a Carnival Street Parade on June 19h, 2010 followed by a the Caribbean Carnival Celebration in Brittle Bank park. Enjoy Steel Bands, Reggae/Soca Music, dancing, food, fun and much more!

Parade Route: Visitor’s Center on Ann Street to King Street to Carolina Street cross Rutledge to Fishburne into Brittle Bank Park
View the splendor of the Caribbean with colourful Revelers in beautiful costumes dancing to the beat of Reggae and Soca music through the streets on their way to Brittle Bank Park. “Playing Mas” Caribbean style.

Caribbean Carnival Celebration in the Park
