A special ship arrived in Savannah, the frigate, USS Hawes. The ship has recently returned from a deployment to the Horn of Africa, Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and China, reports WSAV-TV. USS Hawes sailed past Fort Jackson and was saluted with a cannon firing.

The Hawes’ crew includes about 200 members. Some of the sailors will be taking in some of the Oktoberfest activities on River Street throughout the weekend.
