28th Annual Charleston Parade of Boats – Charleston, South Carolina

Get on board with a Lowcountry holiday tradition as this display of lighted and festive boats proceeds from the Cooper River, through the Charleston Harbor and into the Ashley River, culminating in a brilliant fireworks display over the harbor. Hometown Gator Bowl Parade – Jacksonville, Florida

You are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade. The “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” themed parade features colorful floats, high school bands, college bands, giant helium balloons, and entertaining specialty units. The units will be routed through the Northbank in downtown Jacksonville.

Winn-Dixie and Comcast take pride in their sponsorship of the Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade. The festivities begin at 3 p.m. in Downtown Jacksonville.

Take Off for Christmas with Music – St Augustine, Florida

Enjoy an evening of music during the Children’s Miracle Network Flight Before Christmas with a concert by Aire Traffic. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the newly redesigned St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The concert will provide attendees with the classic ambiance of an outdoor concert while capturing the holiday spirit. Aire Traffic is comprised of air traffic controllers who incorporate a mix of jazz, horns, keyboards, drums, and of course, an aeronautical theme. Attendees of all ages will enjoy the story line of good ‘Ole St. Nick traveling from the North Pole to St. Augustine to visits the children in attendance.

Dark of the Moon Tour at the Lighthouse – St Augustine, Fla.

November 16th, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum will offer the Dark of the Moon Tour starting at 7:30 p.m.
This hour and a half long tour allows visitors to venture into the Keepers’ House and Tower at night, learn about the history of the St. Augustine Light Station, listen to paranormal tales, and experience darkness inside the St. Augustine Lighthouse.
Space is limited and reservations are required. To reserve your space call Faith at (904) 829-0745 x-207. The cost is $25 per adult and $20 per child. All reservations must be cancelled 24-hours in advance. Children must be at least 7 years old and 44 inches tall to climb the tower.

Jekyll Island Revitalization Project Public Meetings on Wednesday, Nov 14th

Another meeting has been added for Jekyll Island, tomorrow November 14th at 7 p.m. So there will be TWO meetings on Jekyll tomorrow, 3:30 pm or 7 pm. Additional Public Input Session on Jekyll Island

The Jekyll Island Authority and Linger Longer Communities are pleased to announce they will host an additional public input session on the future of Jekyll Island. This session will be held at 7 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on Tuesday, November 14.

This will offer coastal residents three opportunities on November 14 to provide input at meetings on the project: at 9:30 a.m. at the HeritageBank Community Center in St. Mary’s; at 3:30 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center; and at 7 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
Additional sessions are planned in Augusta and Atlanta. Those who are unable to attend any of the sessions are encouraged to visit www.rediscoverjekyll.com or call (888) 854-6437 to provide feedback on the revitalization plans.
