St Patrick’s Day Celebration – Savannah, Georgia

The 184th St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 instead of the nationally recognized date of March 17. The Catholic Dioceses of Savannah announced the date change due to Easter Sunday falling on March 23 in 2008. The Feast of St. Patrick’s, which normally occurs on March 17, will fall on the first day of Holy Week, prompting the date change for Savannah’s most popular festival.
