Anastasia State Park’s Annual Beach Bash – St Augustine, Fl

Enjoy a day of sand castle building, scavenger hunts, nature walks, and other fun family activities. Beach Bash celebrates the beginning of summer with numerous activities and fun. Sand castles must be all-natural in keeping with the park setting. Prizes will be awarded!

Beachwalker Park on Kiawah Island Makes Top 10 Beaches

Coastal expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman, Director of Florida International University’s Laboratory for Coastal Research is known as “Dr. Beach”. He has put together a list of Top 10 Beaches since 1991. Fifty criteria are used to evaluate the beaches, including water and sand quality, as well as facilities and environmental management, as part of the National Healthy Beaches Campaign.

Here is the 2008 list:
