Amelia Island Art Festival – Fernandina, Florida

On Veteran’s Day weekend, November 10th and 11th, 2007 downtown Fernandina Beach will be transformed into an outdoor art gallery. All day Saturday and Sunday, over 150 artists from across the nation will gather for the 1st Annual Amelia Island Art Festival. The fine art on display will include a broad spectrum of media: copper scultpures, handcrafted fine jewelry, functional and decorative pottery, original paintings, photography and more. Harvest Festival – Charleston, S.C.

In the olden days families fall and the beginning of harvest was a time of thanks and celebration. This fall festival on St Johns Island is packed with fun-filled activities for the fall season. It features a crafters market, delicious countryfood, hay-rides and children’s activities, live bluegrass music and much more. Kids activities include a pony rides, lassoing contests, pumpkin decorating, and scarecrow designing.

Bluffton Art and Seafood Festival, South Carolina

A celebration of Bluffton’s unique history, cuisine and culture, the 3rd annual Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival takes place October 23-28.
Discover “Where Fine Art & the Bounty of The Sea Comes Together,” during a multi-day event showcasing locally harvested seafood, Low country cuisine, area artists and craftsmen, live music and entertainment, fishing tournament, boat tours, children’s activities, fireworks and more.
Kicking off the festivities, author Ron Daise, former star of Nickelodeon’s Gullah, Gullah Island, hosts a lunch at Myrtle’s on Tuesday, October 23 at noon. Tickets are $30.00 a person and can be reserved by calling Myrtle’s Restaurant.

On Nov. 2-4, 2007, this action-packed event at the Jacksonville Beaches will feature a dynamic over-the-ocean sky show highlighted by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels along with other military and civilian flight teams. Other activities include a street festival with Aviation Alley Autograph Sessions, Kiddy Hawk Kids Area, live entertainment, displays, simulators, military apparatus and booths, interactive games and more!

Celebrate Florida’s Country Cracker Heritage on Saturday Oct 20, when bluegrass banjos and fiddles are combined with horsemanship demonstrations and mouth-watering barbecue.
