Jacksonville has a become an international hot spot this week. The two visiting rugby teams, Leeds Rhinos from UK and South Sydney Rabbitohs from Australia have arrived and with them lots of fans and media from all over the world.On Wednesday a press conference was held at the Jacksonville Landing in downtown. Both teams enjoyed lunch on board the yacht from Ginn Resorts before the press conference. South Sydney Rabbitohs Executive Chairman Peter Holmes a Court confirmed that his business partner, Russell Crowe, will attend the game on Saturday. But Russell Crowe is not going to be the only celebrity in town. The Teutuls from the TV series American Chopper will also be at the game to present their gift to Russell Crowe before kick off. Famous Australian golfer Greg Norman and his family will also be attending the game. 75% of the tickets to Saturday’s game are already sold. Fans from 41 states are coming to Jacksonville for the big game. So if you are in Jacksonville this weekend, don’t miss out, but make sure to buy your tickets now. Savannah Swing Central Draws Over 3240 High School Students

Aspiring young musicians to perform, study with and watch performances by esteemed clinicians including Marcus Roberts, Wycliffe Gordon, Jeff Clayton, James Ketch and Marcus Printup

Savannah, Georgia – Savannah Music Festival (SMF) has selected twelve outstanding high school jazz bands from across the nation to participate in its expanded high school jazz band program, SWING CENTRAL, which takes place April 3-5, 2008.  This year, the well-established three-day workshop program features some of the country’s finest high school jazz bands going head-to-head for $13,000 in cash awards. “The students and I are excited about the opportunity to hear other bands that are working hard and are dedicated to the music,” says New World School for the Arts Jazz and Instrumental Studies Professor, Jim Gasior. “We are thrilled with the lineup of performers and educators that will lead the clinics and workshops.”

Charleston Boat Show This Weekend

HGTV’s Green Home Is Already Receiving Attention – Hilton Head, South Carolina

Back in December of 2007, Home and Garden Television announced its first “Green Home” sweepstakes. According to the Island Packet, the security at Tradition Hilton Head was added shortly after the announcement was made. They want to make sure no photos of the house get out. The “Green Home” will be featured on air on March 23, at 9 pm by HGTV.
