4th of July Celebration – Happy Birthday America!
Tune into Lite 96.1 FM and enjoy the fireworks with music This year’s 4th of July fireworks display has an added treat for viewers throughout the beachfront and most of the Beaches Area. The music played at the Sea Walk Pavilion during the fireworks display, usually heard only by those within the Sea Walk Pavilion event area, can be enjoyed by tuning your radio into Lite 96.1 FM WEJZ at 9:30 PM.
This is the first time the music will be simulcast at the event and over the radio for the fireworks music during the display. The fireworks show and soundtrack were created by Pyro Shows from La Follette, TN. The display will be shot off from the Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier at precisely 9:30 PM.
Celebrate America’s 231st Birthday. On Wednesday, the 4th of July, the Sea Walk Pavilion area will be the spot for music and fireworks! Liberty Fest activities kick off at 6 p.m. with a patriotic concert by Navy Band Southeast’s multi-talented members perform featuring military marches, and other patriotic music, closing with the Armed Forces Medley.
At 7:00 PM a Massing of the Colors ceremony pays tribute to all of the men and women throughout our nation’s history who have sacrificed to make it possible for us to celebrate Independence Day. The Color Guard includes units from the all branches of the Armed Forces, the Florida National Guard, the Beaches Honor Guard, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, and the Sons of the American Revolution who will post the colors while Navy Band Southeast plays the National Anthem.
At 7:40 p.m. Navy Band Southeast rock n’roll band, PRIDE, will perform a variety of music from classic rock-n-roll to the hottest hits of the Top 40. At 9:30 p.m. an even bigger and better fireworks display will light up the sky off the fishing pier.
Fireworks music will be simulcast via WEJZ Lite 96.1 FM. After the fireworks, Navy Band Southeast will finish the evening with a final encore!
