Greater Charleston community invited to Family Fourth activities featuring Band Blast 2007!
The I’On Trust issued an invitation today to the greater Charleston community to attend their 4th of July CelebratI’On in Mt. Pleasant. Highlights of this year’s festivities include Band Blast 2007! featuring Heart and Soul performing classic rock, Motown, beach music and more at the Westlake Amphitheater on West Shipyard Road. I’On Realty is the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
Tickets are $5 in advance (beginning June 18 at I’On Realty, 159 Civitas Street in I’On); $8 at the gate; free to children ages 10 and under. Shane’s Barbeque, Mr. Koolie, Grazi’s, and O’Brion’s will be on hand with food and beverages for sale. Picnics, coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs are welcome, and kid-friendly activities will be available during the concert. Gates open at 5:00 PM, with the concert from 6:00-9:00.
“As part of our mission of connecting neighbors with their community, The I’On Trust is pleased to invite the public to this family-friendly, traditional July 4th celebration.†stated Anne Register, Executive Director. The concert tops off a full day fun in I’On. “I’On on Parade†will leave at 9:30 from the roundabout near the fountain at Perseverance and will feature decorated bicycles, dogs, and golf carts, as well as adult groups marching in “fools’ fashion.†At the “Salute on the Square, after the parade, children will recite the Pledge of Allegiance; and a special Independence Day reading will take place followed by refreshments. Band Blast 2007! will complete the holiday, beginning at 6:00 PM.
