“EAT LOCAL” ON A CULINARY TOUR OF CHARLESTON

Tickle your appetite this summer with “Savor the Flavors”, a Saturday morning culinary tour through the Charleston Farmer’s Market and two other Charleston “best food finds”. Along the tour, enjoy sampling local foods that are a part of this historic city’s culinary heritage along with special artisan foods that are creating a culinary buzz all on their own. From peaches to peanuts to pilau (per-low) enjoy the best kept culinary secrets this city has to offer.

Led by 10th generation South Carolinian and food historian, Amanda Dew Manning and her culinary team, food enthusiasts will discover the linkages between the city’s history and its current culinary culture.

Savor the Flavors tours run every Saturday from 9:30until am until Noon. Tours meet at the CharlestonMuseum, located at the corner of Meeting and John Streets. Tickets are $35.00 per person and are available at: www.carolinafoodpros.com or by calling
