Celebrity Chefs Coming to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

July 5, 2007 by Susanne Talentino

Celebrity Chefs Sara Moulton and Ming Tsai are coming to Celebrate the Taste of South Carolina Hilton Head in November.

The second annual South Carolina Celebrity Chef Classic presented by Golf Digest, Golf For Women, Gourmet and Conde Nast Traveler will be held at Hilton Head Island Nov. 15-18. Guests will pair days of golf with nights of fine dining and intimate cooking demonstrations by some of America’s top chefs.
“We are truly excited to once again host the South Carolina Celebrity Chef Classic at Hilton Head Island,” said Chad Prosser, director of the SC Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism. “Hilton Head Island is a world-class destination, and last year’s event proved to be the perfect setting for guests to enjoy renowned golf and exquisite
culinary experiences.”

This exclusive event offers the chance to be among the first to play the newly designed Pete Dye golf course at The Sea Pines Resort. Plus two of golf’s most acclaimed journalists, Tim Rosaforte, senior writer of Golf Digest and Golf World, and Stina Sternberg, senior editor of Golf For Women, will give guests a glimpse inside the ropes
of the PGA and LPGA tour.
Mealtimes will feature outstanding cuisine and a chance to watch demonstrations by chefs Ming Tsai, Host/Executive Producer of Simply Ming on Public Television, and Gourmet Executive Chef Sara Moulton. Guests will meet and taste the creations of B. R. Guest’s Bret Reichler and Radius’ Michael Schlow.
