Clyde Butcher was educated as an architect, but became the person people are now referring to as the “Ansel Adams of Florida.†The photographer will give a brief talk about his decision to give up color photography to do black and white photographs of the Florida swamp, and his faith that his images can help people understand the environment in which they live. He will also discuss many of his current projects and his involvement in Florida environmental issues. Butcher has been honored by the State of Florida with the Artist Hall of Fame Award, by the North American Nature Photography Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and by the Sierra Club with the Ansel Adams Conservation Award. Clyde Butcher continues to be recognized across America for its artistic excellence and contributions to public awareness.  Members at free and non-members paid $15.
