I just received this email from Tim regarding the upcoming screening of the Altman film “3 women”.
“I am sorry to say that Criterion Pictures sent us a 35mm print that is not presentable at least by my standards. I
don’t think Altman intended for his film to be in pink & white and scratched up.
Anyways…our friends over at MGM have come through with a nice print of another early Altman film:
THIEVES LIKE US starring Keith Carradine and Shelley Duvall.
I apologize that you won’t be seeing 3 WOMEN but THIEVES LIKE US is another ignored Altman gem.
Hope you will all make it out for this extra special screening… SUNDAY at 1PM at San Marco Theatre
