The Charleston Museum will host a Golden Tavern Night on Thursday, September 13, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in conjunction with its special exhibit Clothes to Dye For: Colorful Textiles from the Charleston Museum Collection.
The focus for this quarter of the exhibit is on YELLOW, so enjoy an evening featuring golden fried pub-grub, beer tastings of golden brews from Russia, Scotland and France, the sunny 19th century fashions of the Carolina Ladies Aid Society and curator-led tours of Clothes to Dye For. Party-goers are encouraged to wear their favorite fashions or accessories in anything from lemon to topaz! Reservations are strongly recommended by September 11; call 722-2996 ext. 264 or register online through the calendar of events at www.charlestonmuseum.org.
Registration fee of $15/member and $20/non-member includes food and drinks. Golden Tavern Night is part of a series of casual, pub-style events offered by The Charleston Museum to highlight various special exhibitions.
