“Gullah Geechee Rhythms is interactive and audience-participatory,†said Ron Daise, author of Gullah Branches, and Star of Gullah Gullah Island . “I use songs, stories, and photographs to present 10 memorable ways to identify Gullah and Geechee heritage. Many people are curious about the words `Gullah’ and `Geechee,’†continued Daise. “Even many local residents can’t readily identify the meaning of these words. Visitors travel to Beaufort and other Lowcountry communities hoping to research information or make inquiries.â€
