“Proof†tells the story of Catherine and her struggle to overcome the death of her mathematical genius father, Robert. Graduate student Hal discovers a new proof, ostensibly a work of Robert’s, who had succumbed to mental illness years before. Catherine claims authorship; can she prove she wrote it? And can she avoid the illness that claimed the mind of her father? Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for drama, “Proof†is a gripping theatrical tour de force.
