Continuing an enduring tradition, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island will celebrate the arrival of the 2007 Beaujolais Nouveau with a lavish fete on November 15th at 5 p.m. In the years since the annual event began, the resort has staged the wine’s arrival by parachute and pirate ship. In a new twist, this fall the Beaujolais Nouveau will debut alongside a lineup of all new 2008 Mercedes Benz automobiles.
Emceed by WJXT Anchor Bruce Hamilton, the elegant event will feature tuxedoed servers passing champagne, adundant hors d’oeuvres in the oceanfront courtyard, made-to-order delicacies and illuminated ice displays in Salt, the resort’s fine dining restaurant, as well as music for dancing. Representatives from Brumos Motor Cars in Jacksonville will be on hand to showcase the featured luxury cars and wine experts will be available to answer questions about the Beaujolais Nouveau.
Admissions to the Beaujolais Nouveau celebration is $74 per person. Advance reservations are recommended, as space is limited. Reservations can be made at (904) 277-1028.
