Folly Beach Fishing Pier Closed – Charleston, S.C

October 25, 2007 by Susanne Talentino

The Folly Beach Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier is closed for extensive renovations anticipated to be complete early March 2008. After serving around 2,700,000 visitors over the past eight years, the Folly Beach Fishing Pier facilities are scheduled to receive a facelift. Included in the extensive renovations are the pier railings, windows, building
exterior, gift shop facility, and public restrooms. For the safety of the pier patrons, the entire fishing pier, Gangplank Gift Shop, and Locklear’s Beach City Grill will be closed until construction is complete.
