9th Fine Art Annual – Charleston, South Carolina
From November 2-4, 2007, visitors will have an opportunity to visit 15 of the city’s most prominent art galleries, meet artists who are redefining Charleston’s diverse art scene, and have an opportunity to participate in one of the nation’s top art auctions-The Charleston Art Auction.
“Since the Charleston Renaissance Movement more than a century ago, Charleston has left its doors open, attracting generations of artists and art collectors to the historic district to pursue their interest and careers in fine art,†says CFADA President, Ann Long.
The fine art affair kicks off on Friday, November 2, with artists’ receptions at each of the CFADA galleries, featuring newest works of the weekend’s featured artists. Artists’ receptions begin at 5:30 p.m. in the gallery district. Admission is free.
On Saturday, November 3, artists will congregate in Washington Park, located at the corner of Broad and Meeting streets, for plein air painting demonstrations. With scrumptious breakfast and coffee, visitors can roam through the park and the surrounding streets, observe the weekend’s featured artists in their artistic modes, creating exquisite paintings. Artists will be in the park from 9 a.m.-noon. Admission is free and opened to the general public.
Harvest Festival – Charleston, S.C.
In the olden days families fall and the beginning of harvest was a time of thanks and celebration. This fall festival on St Johns Island is packed with fun-filled activities for the fall season. It features a crafters market, delicious countryfood, hay-rides and children’s activities, live bluegrass music and much more. Kids activities include a pony rides, lassoing contests, pumpkin decorating, and scarecrow designing.

SCAD School of Performing Arts presents Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Proof†– Savannah, GA
SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah College of Art and Design School of Performing Arts presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Proof†by David Auburn, Nov. 1-4, Mondanaro Theater, 217 Martin Luther Kind Jr. Blvd.

Bloodcar Rolls into the San Marco Theatre This Weekend – Jacksonville, Fla.
If you missed Bloodcar at this past year’s festival, The San Marco Theatre is bringing the film in for a short two night run this weekend at 11:55p.m. That’s friday the 26th and the 27th.
Bloodcar played to a sold out audience and the film concerns a time in the not too distant future where gas prices are around 32bux a gallon and this ambitious environmental activist stumbles upon a very green way to propel a vehicle: human blood!
