November 5, 2007, Summerville, SC – The Greater Summerville/ Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce and Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) have joined once again to host the 6th Annual Taste of the Town, which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 from noon to 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Summerville and will feature delectable food “tastes†from the finest restaurants in Summerville.
In partnership with the National Veteran’s Day Celebration, a four day schedule of events in the Low country honoring our veterans and armed services (www.nationalveteransdaycelebration.org), the event will showcase local restaurants with entertainment provided throughout the day. The program includes live music, a local Summerville arts district, open house weekend holiday shopping and children’s entertainment complete with jump castles and face painting by the Summerville Artist Guild. Admission is free and food tastes are individually priced. There will be judged prizes for “Most Patriotic Booth†and “Best of†food categories.
The 6th Annual Taste of the Town is presented by SCE&G. Participating restaurants include: Bayou Barbecue, Carolina Cakes and More, Carolina Café, Tomatoes, Doing Catering Right, Cricket and Kyle’s Catering, Central Avenue Coffee, 3 Sistah’s Cooking, Logan’s Steakhouse, Mama Garcia’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Candy Bouquet, Dockside Seafood, Noisy Oyster, Papa Johns, Sticky Fingers, The Perfect Wife and Woodlands Resort.
