If you love reading, or if you are interested in writing, you’ll need to visit the first annual Savannah Book Festival on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Savannah seems like the perfect city for a book festival with great atmosphere and venues. This festival is free and open to the public.
About 30+ authors will participate in the festival and present their books. They will also speak directly with the audiences about their work.
The main venues for Savannah Book Festival are Telfair Square, Franklin Square and the surrounding buildings. The Festival features five venues: History & Biography at Telfair Museum, Fiction at Trinity Church, Poetry & Songwriting in Telfair Square, Contemporary Issues at First African Baptist Church, Lifestyle at Jepson Center for the Arts.
Visit Savannah Book festival website for more information about the upcoming event.
