5th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival to Feature
Live Music, Art, Tons of Delicious Shrimp
The Shrimp Festival will dish out boatloads of fresh seafood and shrimp
dishes, as local volunteer organizations prepare and serve an astounding
assortment of menu items, including shrimp pie, shrimp twisters, crawfish,
Cajun shrimp etouffee, fried shrimp and shrimp jambalaya. Other items such as
hamburgers, french fries and corn dogs are available.
The Fine Arts and Crafts show will feature works from more than 300 award-winning artists and craftspeople, including jewelry, acrylics, photography, pottery and much more.
Families will enjoy the “Little Pirate†costume contest, pre-festival Pirate Parade, and the Family Fun Zone, which features performances by local dance schools and entertainment for all ages.
The Festival takes place May 2-4, 2008 in Downtown Historic District in Fernandina Beach, bisected by Centre Street, on Amelia Island
