Opening Receiption for “Melodies” – Savannah, Georgia

Artist Amiri Farris will hold an art exhibit at the Jewish Alliance Education Center of Savannah.  “Melodies”, will be the show theme, denoting the musical talents of those whose faces will be displayed. Melodies will feature images of local jazz artists; Teddy Adams, James Moody, Irene Reed, and others.  Mr. Farris considers it a high honor and privilege to be able to capture and display the images of these jazz legends.

Amiri has designed original posters that were used for the Savannah jazz festival 2000-2004 that will also be on display.

The opening reception Sunday will be April 6th 4:00- 6:00.  Amiri will conduct an artist talk about his work and will be available to sign posters. The show will run until the End Of April.
The exhibition of the works by Amiri, will hang through April 2008 and all images are for sale. The opening event is free and open to the public.
