We are very pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition at Indigo Sky
Community Gallery entitled ART IN OPPOSITION. This invitational group
show will feature the creations of 10 artists whose works deal with a variety of timely, controversial, hot button topics pertaining to politics, the environment and society in general.
The line up of well now and little seen local artists participating in the show includes Marcus Kenney, Jerome Meadows, Scott Boytston, Harry Delorem, Rachel Green, Alissandro Imperato, Asa Chibas in collaboration with Michael
Porter, Natalie Von Loewenfeldt and Yi-Hsin Tzeng. Headlining this
wide-ranging group, as featured artist, is nationally acclaimed, Pulitzer Prize winner, artist/cartoonist Patrick Oliphant. We are delighted to have Mr. Oliphant’s participation. As such, this exhibition, running in conjunction with Mr. Oliphant’s major display at the Jepson Center for the Arts, will provide a unique opportunity for individuals to acquire a limited number of 11″x14″, signed reproductions of his work.
Additionally, the gallery will be hosting a Panel Discussion and artist
Q&A on Saturday, March 29 at 2:00pm. This event will be moderated by
Mr. Bill Dawers, columnist with the Savannah Morning News. Details of
this follow-up event will be forthcoming.
Previews of the exhibition will be available as of March 10th.
