Yo Art on Project - Charleston, South Carolina

The Hulsey Law Group will host an exhibition fundraiser entitled “Double Dutch: Images and Text Illustrating the World of Inner City Kids” for the Yo Art Project. The exhibit will showcase multimedia artwork created by children participating in the Yo Art Project.

The children participating in the Yo Art Project will present their artwork including black and white photographs, color posters created with Adobe software, spoken word, and video presentations. Refreshments and beverage will be provided and the Edmund Thornton Jenkins Chamber Society, a classical sextet will play for the event.

The Yo Art Project is an after school program dedicated to teaching inner city youth the technology of art in order to build self esteem and strengthen computer skills to better enable the children to handle both their academic studies as well as life’s challenges.  The program is free to its participants and has paid part-time instructors in a five-day-a-week program.  Please call 556-6800 for more information.
