(May 13, 2008) – In celebration of World Golf Village’s 10th anniversary, the destination is offering a variety of activities for the public to enjoy. Guests to World Golf Village can take advantage of activities celebrating the Village’s involvement in the community since its official opening May 19, 1998.
Through Sunday, May 18, the golf courses at World Golf Village, the Slammer & Squire and the King & Bear, will give special offers to the public including various “two-for-one’s†on the current golf rack rate, as well as on fountain drinks and draft beers in the clubhouse restaurants – Legends Grille and Champions Grille.
On Sunday, May 18 only, the Slammer & Squire and the King & Bear, are offering two-for-one lunches in both clubhouse restaurants, Legends Grille and Champions Grille, as well as 10 holes of golf for $10 after 5 p.m. In addition, the courses will host a 10-hole shoot out at 9 a.m. Sunday at the King & Bear. Individuals interested in participating in the shoot out should obtain the required coupon from the events calendar at www.wgv.com or either of the course pro shops and submit to either of the course pro shops prior to Sunday, May 18. Also on Sunday, May 18, the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX® Theater will celebrate its 10th anniversary with complimentary cake and ice cream for patrons in the theater lobby, courtesy of Cold Stone Creamery. And, moviegoers can take advantage of the $10 combination ticket to see Grand Canyon: River at Risk and the 10-year return of Everest, the first film shown in the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater in 1998.
