This year’s theme will showcase works of South Carolina artists in two dimensions, three dimensions, and photography related to the state of our planet and its environment. Some of SC’s finest artists have created works in the show addressing these issues. Their works confront problems of climate change, disappearing wetlands, air and water quality, the effects on wildlife due to vanishing habitats, and the like. The exhibit will also feature the creation of a Tibetan Sand Mandala and a unique site specific installation and related documentary called Ten Trees (see Piccolo Spoleto program book page 81 or visit www.piccolospoleto.com for more information). If you love your Mother (Earth), then don’t miss this show.
