Summer Movie Classics- “The Gods Must Be Crazy”

June 24, 2008 by Susanne Talentino

This is a very funny movie, even if you have seen it, you can always see it again. And if you have kids or teenagers who haven’t seen it, this will be a treat.

The story begins when a bushman in the Kalahari Desert discovers a Coke bottle, causing consternation among his tribe, thus beginning his quest to throw it off the edge of the earth and return it to the gods. And it just gets crazier from that point on with slapstick, satire, romance and turmoil mixed into a wild and funny story.

Join the Florida Theatre every Sunday, from June 29 through August 31, at 2 pm for Summer Movie Classics. Enjoy great selections from cinematic history in the beautiful setting of one of Jacksonville’s own classics! This series is proudly sponsored by The Florida Times Union.

Tickets are priced at $6 per admission with the option to purchase a $40 movie card, good for any ten admissions. For more information, visit www.floridatheatre.comS
