St. Augustine, Fla. – Slammer & Squire and King & Bear at World Golf Village will offer an entire month of activities and offers focused on helping families enjoy the game of golf – together. Throughout July, the official golf courses of the World Golf Hall of Fame will host a series of programs for family members to learn the game and play golf with special contests, exclusive pricing just for families and more. Family Golf Month, open to any “household family,†will kick off Sunday, July 6.
During Family Golf Month, junior tees will be set on each hole at the golf courses and families can enjoy on-course play for $50 plus taxes and fees for a two-some or $80 plus taxes and fees for a family of three to five players. Juniors will also enjoy complimentary access to the Slammer & Squire practice facilities at any time when accompanied by a paying adult.
Family Golf Month will also feature guest appearances by Jacksonville Jaguars’ player and avid golfer Rashean Mathis, former Jacksonville Jaguar player Tony Boselli and Mike Tice, Jacksonville Jaguars Assistant Head Coach.
In addition, the month includes “Take Your Kids to the Course Week†to be held Monday, July 7 through Sunday, July 13, allowing juniors to play golf for free throughout the entire week after 1 p.m. The week also will include a variety of activities such as introductory lessons, full-swing and short game clinics, and contests including the third-annual ‘Golf Idol.’
