Bring your own blanket or chair and enjoy live entertainment during Cool Summer Evenings on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, June 18 through August 15 at Brookgreen Gardens. All live entertainment is included in the regular admission to the Gardens. Cruises down the creek are offered all three evenings at 5:30 and 6:30 pm. and are $7 in addition to garden admission.

In celebration of the Fourth of July, we are looking to you to name and create the official Red, White and Blue on the Green Festival hotdog.

Drum Talk – Savannah, Georgia

All are invited to take part in “It Takes a Village: Drumming on a Friday Afternoon.” The drum talk lets participants recharge, release stress, connect communally. Bring your own drum if you have it. No drumming experience is necessary.

July 4th Boat Parade at High Tide – Murrells Inlet, SC

There’s nothing more patriotic than seeing a line of decorated boats cruising down the creek for the Murrells Inlet Fourth of July parade. The boats will be decorated according to the theme (this years theme is; “Freedom is Great in 2008”) and parade around the inlet starting at 10 am at high tide.
Best spots to view the parade: Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Capt. Dick’s Marina, Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, and Nance’s Restaurant and Hot Fish Club. Register at Capt. Dick’s Marina, Booty’s and Garden City Realty. Fireworks in the Inlet begin at 10 pm. The display can be seen from all vantage points on the inlet shores.
