The Charleston Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 8:00am until 2:00 pm in the Marion Square, between King and Meeting Streets at the edge of Calhoun Street.

Besides fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers, the Farmers Market also offers an variety of arts and crafts from talented local artisans. Charleston Farmers Market is produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs and is dedicated to the support and advocacy of Lowcountry Farmers and Growers.

Uptown Saturday Night – St. Augustine, Fl

The popular monthly event, Uptown Saturday Night takes place from 5pm to 9m the last Saturday in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District, St. Augustine. Galleries, antique stores and shops between Ripley’s Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios stay open during the unique event. Barbara Hagerty is a Charleston native, essayist, and poet whose work has appeared in many national, regional, and local publications. The author of two books on the cultural meanings and metaphors inherent in the bags we carry, she has an M.A. in Creative writing from the The Johns Hopkins University. Amember of the Long Table Poets workshop, she is currently at work on a book-length volume of poetry.
