Jacksonville’s first neighborhood, historic Springfield, presents the Second Annual Springfield Heritage Days Festival on July 4th-6th, 2008. Great fun for the whole family during this action-packed weekend. Kick off with Friday Throwback Baseball Game at 4 pm in Klutho Park. The team place in uniforms and use equipment from “back in the Good Old Days”. After the game, the family friendly block party begins and is followed by fireworks. Saturday continues with a kickball game, the Acoustic Music Festival, arts and crafts and much, much more. There’s also the always popular Historic Home and Garden Tour on both days.

Turtles will then race around the twists and turns of Turtle Creek, the lazy river at Summer Waves. The race starts at 2PM. Proceeds benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. May the best turtle win!
