Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps Comes to Charleston, SC

For the first time ever, the talented group Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps is coming to Patriots Point on Charleston Harbor, Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 11:00 am. Performances will take place on the flight deck of the historic World War II aircraft carrier USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.

Based in Plymouth, Michigan, the fife and drum corps is made up of 40 to 50 musically gifted students ranging in age from 12 to 18 years of age. The goal of the Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps is to preserve our nation’s musical heritage through the art of fifing and drumming as well as enriching the musical experience of the youngsters involved.
