6th Annual Labor Day Weekend Catfish Festival in Kingsland
If you want to experience a festival in true Southern Style, how about the traditional Catfish Festival in Kingsland taking place on Labor Day weekend? This festival serves up southern-fried catfish with a side of country music. Kingsland, Georgia’s 25th Annual Labor Day Weekend Catfish Festival which runs from Saturday, August 30th thru Monday, September 1st in historic, downtown Kingsland, Georgia.
Brandi Thornton, up and coming Country Music Artist, is performing. Live entertainment will run throughout the day on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1, 2008. Watch the parade, visit vendors with arts & crafts booths, antiques and collectibles. There’s also a 5K run, and a 25K & 50K bicycle ride, a classic car & tractor exhibition. Start out the day at the Lions Club annual Pancake Breakfast.
This is the largest festival in Camden County and this 3-day event attracts a crowd of over 75,000 people throughout the weekend. A four-time award winner of the Southeast Tourism Society “Top 20 Event” and three-time award winner of the American Bus Association’s “Top 100 Event in North America”, this festival proves to be a wonderful three-day weekend for the entire family.
