Lokas film – Jacksonville, FL

November 10, 2008 by etalentino

This film will be played at The New Jacksonville Landing Cinematheque, admission is $8.00 per person.
An International film festival favorite, Lokas is a charming comedy about Charly, a middle-aged Latino, homophobic who moves to Mexico City from Chile for a better life. Some unfortunate circumstances cause him to end up in jail, he finds himself returning to Chile to be reunited with his father he has not seen in 30 years. This awkward reunion leads to the discovery that his father is gay. Although Charly tries to protect his 8 year old son, Pedro from this discovery, it is little Pedro, who reunites the family beyond prejudices.
