Monterey Jazz Festivalto Kick Off Second Half of Charleston Concert Association 2007-08 Season
On Tuesday, February 5 2008, the Monterey Jazz Festival will perform as part of the Charleston Concert Association’s 2007-08 season. Celebrating their 50th year of assembling gifted jazz musicians onstage, this anniversary tour promises to thrill, with inspiration from the long list of greats who have performed on the Festival bill throughout the years, such as Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday. Charleston Area Honored By Readers Of Southern Living
Southern Living magazine’s January edition features its Readers’ Choice Awards, in which several honors go to the Charleston, SC area. In competition with other southern destinations, Charleston was once again named Favorite Southern City by readers of the widely popular magazine. Honors also included top tier billing for best shopping.
