Jacksonville Beer Festival 2009

If you like beer, and want to learn more about beers and brewing, come to the 2009 Jacksonville Craft and Import Beer Festival. Here you have the opportunity to sample over 30 different breweries with over 200 beers to taste. There’s also great food to go along with your beverages. Local restaurants are serving up great dishes. There will also be live music, a silent auction and other prize give-aways. Proceeds from the festival are going to the Southside Businessmen’s.

VIP members are treated to beer and brewology school as well as a food pairing and judging classes. There’s also a special, private selection of beer samples not available with general admission. So for the true beer enthusiast, this is definitely the ticket to get. You will get a peek at the beer industry from the inside.

The festival is a one day event, Friday June 19th at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, Crown Royal Touchdown Club East. VIP starts at 5pm and general admission starts at 7pm, going until 10pm.
There are two type of tickets, General Admission for $25 and VIP for $40.

Free Concerts in the Plaza on Thursdays in St Augustine, Florida

When you’re visiting St. Augustine, don’t miss the free concerts on Thursday nights. It’s the best way to enjoy a beautiful summer evening.
For the 19th year, St. Augustine continues with the free Concerts in the Plaza series. This popular event is said to be “the best way to spend a Thursday night in the Old City”, and it is definitely a great way to enjoy a free concert under live oaks in the park. The concert series brings a variety of music to the historic district of St. Augustine’s all summer long. Listen to Bluegrass and blues, jazz and country, swing and folk, old time and popular rock every Thursday.
All Thursday night concerts are free. The performance begins at 7 p.m, bring your own chair and maybe even picnic dinner.

The Plaza de la Constitución is located in the heart of St. Augustine between Cathedral Place and King Street, west of the Bridge of Lions. The band performs from The Gazebo, located in the center of the Plaza. Plan to come early to get reserve a good spot, this is usually a popular event.

Where to Park
Parking is available in the Historic Downtown Parking Facility (HDPF) located at the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Visitors Information Center. This is usually where we park when we visit St Augustine for the day. It’s convenient and easy – who wants to waste time driving around looking for parking anyway? There’s too much to see in St Augustine for that. This place is about a ten minute walk along St. George St. to the Plaza. The cost there is $1.25 per hour with a $7.50 per day maximum.
On street parking is also available near the Plaza de la Constitución and is free after 5:00pm.

Free Family Film Festival at Regal Cinemas

During the summer you can take your whole gang to the cinema for selected free screenings at Regal Cinema. Regal Entertainment Group has a nine week long Free Family Festival going on at selected theatres, now for the 19th year. sextape RealDC Participated theatres show G and PG rated movies for free on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10 am. Examples of movies include; Hotel for Dogs, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar Escape 2 Africa, and Shrek the Third. Check local theatre listing for film selection, call the theatre or visit the website for schedule updates.

The Crown Jewels – Royal Exhibit to Amelia Island, Florida

The British royal family has a long history and tradition. Part of the tradition is embodied in the British Crown Jewels. oceaneyes20 nude leaks The Crown Jewels have been kept at the Tower of London since 1303. The Crown Jewels are kept in a part of the Tower known as Jewel House, where armed guards defend them. While the jewels never leave the Tower of London, the only existing sanctioned replicas will be on display at the Amelia Island Museum of History, April 22nd through July 24th. Amelia Island is a suitable place for the exhibit, since the island itself is names after King George II’s daughter Amelia Sophia. In 1733, James Oglethorpe founded the 13th British colony in America naming it Georgia after King George II. Later on he name Amelia Island after George’s daughter. The experts are not sure why. Some believe that Oglethorpe was trying to get support from George II in his endeavor to add Florida to the British colonies, while others think that Amelia Sophia and Oglethorpe might have been romantically involved. Now you can experience a little bit of royal history right here on the coast. The Crown Jewel exhibit continues at Amelia Island Museum of History until July 24th. Reggae Nights in James Island County Park, Charleston

Let the cool sounds of Selah Dubb soothe your soul and enjoy a concert with Reggae Nights, the Summer Concert Series of the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission.

Selah Dubb recorded four albums in 2008 and the band has played over 120 shows in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Their original music is described as high vibration funky reggae with a spacey soul twist. Selah Dubb also perform popular music from well-known artists like Bob Marley, The Police, and Sublime. Music lovers don’t have to be hungry. There will be Caribbean faire available from Brieles Lowcountry Café, delious pizza, Italian ice, and another Lowcountry festival favorite — kettle korn and boiled peanuts.

The concert takes place on Saturday, June 13 at James Island County Park. The gates open at 7:30 pm and music starts at 8:30 pm.

Admission is $8.00 or 5 books of Greenbax. Children 12 and under enjoy free admission. Annual Gold Passes will be honored.
