Rugby Team Meet Up at McCools – Jax Beach

Yesterday rugby fans who are waiting for the big game got the opportunity to rub elbows with players at Fionn McCool’s in Jax Beach. Coastal Companion was of course there to check it out, and by eight o’clock the place was packed. This is going to be a great week in Jacksonville. Lowcountry Blues Bash Comes to Charleston

Blues fans and music lovers are in for a treat at the 18th Annual Lowcountry Blues Bash to be held in historic Charleston, SC, from February 8-17. For 10 days, artists like Wanda Johnson and Shrimp City Slim, The King Bees, Juke Joint Johnny, Studebaker John & The Hawks, Alberta Adams and Creole Zydeco Farmers will entertain in 18 different venues. Forty-five acts in 80 shows plus three open All-Star Blues Jams are planned with legends, veterans and promising new artists all lending their talents. Two New Sculpture Exhibits Open at Brookgreen Gardens – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Murrells Inlet, SC– Pooches and Purebreds: Canine Images in Sculpture and Figurative Felines: The Sculptured Cat are two new indoor sculpture exhibits that will be on display daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until March 9, in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion at Brookgreen Gardens. Robin Salmon, Vice-President for Collections and Curator of Sculpture said, “Through the centuries, man’s best friend has been a favorite subject of artists. Pooches and Purebreds presents a variety of dogs, from sporting breeds to mutts, interpreted by the foremost animal sculptors in America. We designed this exhibit to be fun!”
