A premier eight-day cultural event in beautiful historic downtown Savannah, the festival features more than 50 films selected from more than 600 entries submitted from all over the world. Categories include feature, short, animation, documentary and student film. The screenings represent a variety of independent filmmakers, while an array of workshops, lectures, receptions and special events gives the festival participants an opportunity to meet colleagues active in all areas of film production. Educational benefits for students are provided through the Savannah Film Festival”s student competition as well as the festival student workshops. This popular event is sold out for Monday, but an additional screening for September 29th has been added! Enjoy a fun evening at the movies and great food while helping raise funds and awareness through arts and culture in St. Johns County. The screening of the movie Paris Je T’aime (Rated R) is a story of love from the City of Love starring Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Kevin Bacon and many others. The two-hour film consists of eighteen short films directed by 21 directors including greats such as Joel and Ethan Coen, Wes Craven, Alfonso Cuarón, Alexander Payne, Gus Van Sant.
Hours: doors open at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Admission: admission is $25 and includes dinner, the movie and a contribution to the St. Johns County Cultural Council
