Cosmic Concerts at the MOSH – Jacksonville, Florida

The Museum of Science & History presents Cosmic Concerts – a laser light and music experience under the dome of the Alexander Brest Planetarium! Cosmic Concerts combine a full-color laser projection system and hundreds of special effects on the planetarium’s 60-foot dome with an 18,000 watt sound system to immerse visitors in a total visual and auditory music experience. The soundtrack for the programs are recorded and played back digitally, allowing for the cleanest, crispest sound possible.

The Lowcountry’s First Lady of Jazz Performs in Summerville, South Carolina

Summerville D.R.E.A.M. hosts a free community concert featuring Ann Caldwell on Thursday, July 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Hutchinson Square (Summerville’s historic downtown square). Ann Caldwell, known in the Low Country as the first lady of jazz, works full time as a jazz singer, jazz vocalist, blues singer and musical producer.

The week-long Savannah Jazz Festival, on September 20 – 28 2008, is one of the largest and most popular of the Savannah festivals, is presented by the Coastal Jazz Association and is dedicated to the growth of jazz and jazz audiences in the Coastal Empire.

Homegrown Concert with Hootie and the Blowfish

Two-time Grammy award-winning Hootie & the Blowfish will return for their annual Homegrown Concert event at Family Circle Magazine Stadium on Friday, August 15th, 2008. The concert series encourages fans to bring school supplies to the show as a donation, and all supplies are donated to local schools in need. The campaign has been so successful that Hootie & the Blowfish have decided to base their entire tour on giving back to economically disadvantaged schools in each community they visit and will conclude their 24-city Homegrown Tour in the city where it all began.
