Audiences are in for a treat when one of the world’s best-known rock n’ roll bands unite to bring together an extraordinary musical film event, “Shine A Light.†Directed by Martin Scorsese, viewers can see The Rolling Stones as never seen before through footage filmed at New York City’s famed Beacon Theatre and more. Internationally acclaimed violinist Robert McDuffie will kick off the 2008 season of the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival May 30, and a grand gala featuring the renowned American String Quartet will bring the Festival to a resounding conclusion on June 15 at the Ritz Carlton-Amelia Island. In between, area residents and visitors will delight to the music of such Amelia Island favorites as cellist Lynn Harrell, pianist Valentina Lisista and violinist Jennifer Koh.
