Beauties of America National Pageant – Myrtle Beach, SC

If you’re noticing a lot of beautiful young women in Myrtle Beach August 21th – 24th, it might have something to do with this event. The most beautiful women are going to gather at the convention center for the Beauties of America Pageant. This pageant will crown the 2008 national queens at this year’s event.

HarbourFest 2008 Continues in August – Hilton Head Island, SC

Fun for Everyone during hot Summer nights at Shelter Cove Harbour with six nights of family-oriented activities and entertainment. The spectacular summertime celebration of HarbourFest-featuring food, arts and crafts, live entertainment and fireworks returns to Shelter Cove Harbour for its 21st season.As usual, the events at Shelter Cove Harbour are free and open to the public. Singer/songwriter Shannon Tanner, one of the Lowcountry’s most beloved performers, will perform nightly all summer long. His shows are a mixture of ‘60s standards and sing-a-longs, original ballads with lots of kids’ favorites and opportunities for the youngsters to come up and share the stage.
HarbourFest will continue on Tuesday nights through August 26th Activities run from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. nightly.

Reggae Music in James Island County Park, SC

Good Music. Good Vibes and Good Fun. The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series continues on Saturday August 16th in James Island County Park. Listen to old school roots reggae with a new school attitude in under the stars. This time Dubconcious takes the stage. Bring your own chair or blanket and the whole gang to the park. Gates open at 7:30pm. Music starts at 8:30pm.

Beach Music Festival – Jekyll Island, Georgia

There is no better way to celebrate summer than with a party on the beach. There’s big party is coming to the beach on Jekyll island this weekend. Wear your best Hawaiian shirt or tiny winy polka dot bikini and head out for a FREE Beach Blast Concert on Saturday August 16th from noon to 6:00 PM.
The event takes place on the beach, behind the Beach deck, so bring plenty of sun screen!
