Dancing with the Local Stars – St Augustine, Florida

Local celebrities take to the stage and show their moves at the Fountain of Youth located in St. Augustine during this fun fundraiser for the Donna Hicken Foundation. The festivities are from 6 to 11 p.m.  on February 1st, and tickets are $75 per person and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Have a chance to vote for the star of your choice while raising awareness for breast cancer.Tickets are available at Haven trust Bank located at 709 Ponce de Leon Blvd. or by calling 904.827.1902. All proceeds go to The Donna Hicken Foundation.

First Friday Art Walk – St Augustine, Florida

Join one of St. Augustine’s most popular cultural events on the first Friday of every month from 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy the latest exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 20 participating galleries. New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition to Showcase Local Talent – Savannah, GA

The works of local middle and high school students will be showcased at the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs’ Gallery S.P.A.C.E. from Feb. 4 through 22 during the seventh annual New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition.
Works on display will focus on the 2008 Savannah Black Heritage Festival  theme, “Yesterday’s Story, Today’s Legacy.”  The juried exhibition is presented by the Savannah chapter of The Links, Inc., a volunteer organization committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture of African Americans.
