The popular event for kids returns to Battlefield Memorial Park for the second year, offering hands-on archaeological education activities on the site of the 1779 Battle of Savannah. May 31, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Battlefield Park. Prices are – Adults $6; Children $5; Under 6 are free.

“Shine A Light” Opens May 9th – St Augustine, Florida
Audiences are in for a treat when one of the world’s best-known rock n’ roll bands unite to bring together an extraordinary musical film event, “Shine A Light.†Directed by Martin Scorsese, viewers can see The Rolling Stones as never seen before through footage filmed at New York City’s famed Beacon Theatre and more. Old Fort Jackson Bicentennial – Savannah, Georgia
Saturday, May 17th CHS will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Old Fort Jackson National Historic Landmark. The event is Free and open to the public beginning at 5pm and running to 9pm.
There will be Fireworks, Music, Cannon Firings and of course Cake!
All-American foods such as burgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase (all proceeds going to support OFJ—Georgia’s Oldest Brick Fort). This event is generously sponsored by the Savannah River Pilots!

Uptown Saturday Night – St Augustine, Florida
A favorite end-of-the-month event, Uptown Saturday Night takes place from 5pm to 9m the last Saturday of every month in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District, St. Augustine. Galleries, antique stores and unique shops between Ripley’s Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios remain open during this special time.
