Three continental breakfast sessions are offered on December 6 and 13, beginning at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 a.m. “Breakfast with Santa,†includes Museum admission. Tickets for the holiday event is $12 for adults; $10 for children 3-12; and $3 for children 2 and under.

The 2008 Art & Antiques Show in Jacksonville opens its doors on December 3rd with the Benefactor Preview Reception and Opening Night Party and continues through December 6th with a heartwarming children’s fashion show.
This year marks the 32nd year of the popular Art & Antiques Show, which has been recognized as one of the premier antiques and decorative shows in the United States. The show is a benefit for Wolfson Children’s Hospital and features 54 exhibitors and galleries and five renowned lecturers.

The Pinewood PTO has joined forces with Summerville D.R.E.A.M (Downtown Restoration Enhancement and Management) to host the first Pinewood Holiday Spirit Extravaganza. On Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Downtown Summerville shops and restaurants will open their doors to the Pinewood community and 10% of sales from participating merchants will be donated to the Pinewood PTO.
In addition to shopping and dining, entertainment will be provided by Pinewood students. The Kings Inn Bed and Breakfast will host a performance by the newly formed Pinewood Chorus under the direction of Janice Gamble. Art work by Pinewood students will be proudly displayed at Art Central. The Pinewood Spirit fashion team will model Downtown Summerville clothing and accessories at a fashion show coordinated by Avis MacLellan, director of the Model’s Studio and held at Relish Downtown. The Pinewood Panther will stroll the streets of Downtown Summerville passing out candy canes while teachers and students sing Christmas carols and so much more.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore the wonderful stores in our community, shop for the holidays and support the PTO and Pinewood,” said Stacy Stagliano, Pinewood PTO President, “One lucky Pinewood shopper/diner will even win a $50 D.R.E.A.M gift certificate usable at most of the stores and restaurants downtown.”

Hampton Plantation State Historic Site will celebrate the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a festival called “Christmas through the Ages.†Visitors will join the park staff in exploring the history of Christmas traditions in the Lowcountry. Highlights include tours of the 18th-century plantation mansion decorated for the holidays, dramatic readings of classic Christmas tales and hands-on activities such as creating Christmas cards.
The cost is $4 for adults ages 16 – 64, $3 for children ages 6 – 15, $2.50 for any South Carolina senior citizen over the age of 65, and free for any one under the age of 6.

Bring the entire family to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in the beautiful setting of Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. The Santa Celebration takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features holiday activities for children including movies on a big screen, hands-on arts and crafts, and sing-alongs and a gingerbread house contest. There will be complimentary hot chocolate and peppermint white hot chocolate, plus food vendors, a holiday plant sale, wreath and ornament making, live entertainment and fresh Christmas trees for sale.
